As the world marks the 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD), Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has paid tribute to women for their resilience, achievements, and unwavering spirit in the face of challenges.
With this year’s theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” Mrs. Tinubu emphasized the importance of fostering a society where women and girls can thrive without discrimination.
“Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of women across Nigeria and the world. It is a day to reaffirm our commitment to gender equality and empowerment,” she stated.
Urging women to uplift and support one another, she added, “Now is the time for women to take charge and make change happen—one woman at a time.”
