Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has made a dramatic U-turn, admitting to an intimate encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu, aka Ijoba Lande.
In a candid live interview on Sunday with socialite Esabod and a group of TikTokers, Baba Tee contradicted his previous denial, revealing that the incident happened under the influence of alcohol during a ‘Truth or Dare’ game.
The confession comes after Ijoba Lande accused his wife of multiple affairs within the entertainment industry, listing at least 21 alleged lovers, including Baba Tee, as reasons for their failed marriage. Initially, Baba Tee had dismissed the allegations, challenging Lande to provide proof and even threatening legal action.
However, in his latest revelation, the 45-year-old actor admitted to the encounter, stating that he was unaware that Dara was married at the time.
“When Marygold and Dara came to my house, Marygold told me she wanted me to be the MC for an upcoming event. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife,” Baba Tee explained.
Describing how the situation escalated, he recounted: “We played ‘Truth or Dare.’ Marygold got completely naked and kept daring Dara to take on tasks. Instead of choosing ‘Truth,’ they kept daring me. Eventually, Marygold dared Dara to have a ‘quick’ moment with me, and she agreed.”
Following the shocking confession, Esabod advised Baba Tee to publicly apologise to Ijoba Lande, considering his earlier threats of legal action.
In response, Baba Tee took to Facebook on Monday, writing: “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. How did Dara become Lande’s wife without my knowledge? Hmmm… I fear women.”
The unexpected admission has since sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many questioning the role of the ‘Truth or Dare’ game in the unfolding drama.
