The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has firmly stated that the registration deadline for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) remains March 8, with no possibility of an extension.
JAMB, which began the registration process on February 3, emphasized that all prospective candidates must complete their registration before the deadline to avoid being left out.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB warned against last-minute registration rushes and urged candidates to act swiftly.
“This deadline has been communicated in all advertisements and our official calendar for the 2025 UTME exercise,” the statement read.
JAMB also revealed that over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered, aligning with its projections for the 2025 examination cycle.
The board explained that its academic calendar is tightly structured, with subsequent activities such as examinations, results processing, and admissions relying on strict adherence to timelines.
“Extending the registration period would not only disrupt JAMB’s schedule but also affect other partner agencies whose operations depend on our processes,” the statement added.
With just a few weeks left, JAMB urged all interested candidates to take immediate action and complete their registration to avoid missing out.
