The Accord Party has launched a bold initiative aimed at reshaping Ogun State’s political future by rallying opposition parties into a unified force ahead of the 2027 elections.

Dubbed the Ogun 2027 Now Project, the movement is focused on breaking free from political godfatherism, propaganda, and power-for-sale politics, ensuring that only competent, integrity-driven leaders emerge.

Hon. Oke Rotimi Michael, the state chairman of the Accord Party and convener of the project, emphasized that the time has come for governance to prioritize the people over political elites.

“The suffering of the people is evident. Ogun State cannot afford leadership dictated by money or godfathers. We need a system where leadership is earned through merit, competence, and service,” he stated.

The alliance aims to level the playing field by establishing pre-agreed, transparent terms among participating parties. It will ensure that candidates with credible track records and measurable commitments to the people’s welfare are selected.

Hon. Michael also highlighted that the alliance would strengthen opposition forces, enhance electoral integrity, and restore governance that truly represents the people’s interests.

“The 2027 elections in Ogun State will not be business as usual. We are building a movement that will put the people first. Political manipulation must end, and true democracy must take center stage,” he declared.

As discussions progress, the Accord Party is rallying support for a leadership revolution—one that promises a better Ogun State, powered by transparency, unity, and people-driven governance.
