The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has appointed Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as its new Director of Public Relations and Information, following the reassignment of Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa to the Defence Headquarters as Director of Civil-Military Relations.
In a statement released from NAF Headquarters, Ejodame’s impressive career was highlighted, with the Air Force describing him as a seasoned officer boasting vast expertise in logistics, strategic planning, and defense management. He is also a distinguished member of the 45th Regular Course at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
Ejodame’s academic credentials are equally remarkable. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK. His professional training includes logistics training at the United Nations International Peace Support Operations Centre in Kenya and the Optimisation and Decision-Making in Supply Chain course in Portugal.
A proud graduate of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji and the Air Force War College in Makurdi, Ejodame was recognized as the Best Graduating Participant. He has also earned accolades such as the Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Air Staff Awards at the National Defence College, Abuja.
Ejodame’s leadership extends beyond his roles within the Nigerian Air Force. He served as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser at the Nigerian High Commission in Malaysia, where he was concurrently accredited to nine other countries, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Nigeria’s defense relationships in the region.
His extensive professional memberships include the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and fellowships with both the Air Force War College and National Defence College. Additionally, he is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria.
As NAF’s new spokesperson, Air Commodore Ejodame brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record, promising to further enhance the Air Force’s public relations and communication efforts.
