In a chilling turn of events, the Delta State Police have uncovered the body of Chigozie Udalor, a 38-year-old site engineer, who was allegedly murdered and buried in a shallow grave by his own employees. The grim discovery was made on April 2, 2025, following an intense investigation by the police.

Udalor, who had been overseeing a construction project for his cousin, hired four young men from Benue State to work on the site. However, on December 10, 2024, the workers reportedly conspired to kill him. The suspects attacked Udalor with a hammer, striking him in the head before burying his body at the site in an attempt to cover up their crime.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the tragic details in a statement, describing the murder as “man’s inhumanity to man.” Following the arrest of two suspects, Udalor’s remains were exhumed, revealing the gruesome fate that befell the engineer.
