Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele recently jumped on the Flashback Friday bandwagon, sharing nostalgic throwback photos on Instagram featuring memorable moments with fellow actresses Doris Simon and Empress Njamah. She playfully captioned the post, “Hmmm. Don’t swipe!! If you do, then tag them!!”
This throwback came amidst the drama surrounding Ijoba Lande’s online accusations about Funke’s payment to him. The controversy stirred quite a buzz, with Lande initially claiming that he had been unfairly compensated. However, after some clarification, Lande retracted his statements and apologized, explaining that his comments were misinterpreted.
He admitted that he had signed a document without fully understanding the terms, initially thinking it was a minor matter. When the agreed payment didn’t match his expectations, he made the controversial video.
In his apology, Lande acknowledged his mistake, saying, “Please help me beg aunty Funke. That was not how I made the video. I didn’t do the video to tarnish your image. Aunty Funke, you didn’t do any wickedness. Those of you that cut the video halfway, you aren’t good and you are wicked.”
