Valentine Ozigbo isn’t mincing words. The former Anambra governorship hopeful has rejected the outcome of the April 5 APC primary, calling it a “well-orchestrated heist” that threatens the very fabric of democracy.
In a powerful public statement, Ozigbo didn’t just speak — he called out what he described as deliberate sabotage within his own party.
“This isn’t about me. It’s about democracy. About values. About our future. We cannot look the other way,” Ozigbo said as he confirmed filing a formal petition to the APC Appeals Committee, detailing evidence of widespread irregularities.
He alleged that:
- Non-party members filled delegate lists
- Loyal APC members were blocked or attacked
- Accreditation was rigged
- Votes were counted in the shadows
But if anyone thought he’d walk away quietly, they were mistaken.
“I won’t run to the Senate. I won’t jump ship. I will stand right here in the APC, and I will fight — for the people, for justice, and for Anambra,” he declared.
To his supporters — “the dreamers, the believers, the Valiants” — Ozigbo sent a clear message: “Keep your heads high. We’re not broken. We’re just getting started.”
He didn’t stop there. With a firm gaze on the future, he warned those he believes manipulated the system:
“The future cannot be bribed or bullied. The people are watching. History is recording.”
In a call to conscience, Ozigbo urged the APC to do the right thing before it’s too late:
“This is more than an election. It’s a defining moment — for Anambra, for our party, for our nation’s credibility. Let’s correct the wrong. Let’s redeem the APC.”
Ending with a hopeful yet defiant prayer, Ozigbo invoked unity and purpose:
“May wisdom guide us. May courage strengthen us. May the grace of God carry us. Ka Anambra Chawapu.”
