This announcement was made at the 2025 Oloibiri Lecture Series and Energy Forum in Abuja, highlighting the project’s progress and potential impact on Nigeria’s energy landscape.

The AKK pipeline, spanning 614 kilometers, will transport natural gas from Ajaokuta in Kogi State to Kano, passing through Abuja and Kaduna. This project is poised to play a crucial role in enhancing Nigeria’s gas pipeline network, meeting growing power demand, and supporting gas-based industries along the route. By providing a sustainable energy solution, the pipeline will also contribute to reducing deforestation rates.
