In a significant development for prospective university students in Nigeria, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The mock exam, conducted on April 10, 2025, aimed to simulate the actual test environment, allowing candidates to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and identify areas for improvement.
Out of 200,113 registered candidates, 126,181 sat for the exam, with 115,735 results now available for viewing. However, 10,446 results are still being processed due to the post-examination verification process, particularly with the introduction of new technological features to enhance the quality and security of the system. JAMB has assured candidates that the outstanding results will be uploaded in due course.
The mock exam provided candidates with a valuable opportunity to experience the CBT environment, test the board’s annual innovations, and identify potential technical issues before the main UTME. This exercise is crucial in helping candidates prepare for the actual exam, scheduled to begin on April 25, 2025.
Candidates can access their mock UTME results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for JAMB registration. This method is currently the only way to check results, and candidates are advised to ensure they have at least ₦50 airtime on their line.
Whether your score is high or low, use the feedback to adjust your study plan and focus on improvement. Candidates are encouraged to utilize resources like JAMB past questions and answers, practice tests, and study materials to get adequately ready for the main exam.
As the main UTME exam approaches, candidates must stay focused and motivated. Joining study groups, participating in online forums, and seeking guidance from experienced candidates can be beneficial. Additionally, candidates should ensure they are well-rested, eat nutritious food, and stay hydrated to perform optimally on the exam day.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has reiterated its commitment to conducting a smooth and transparent examination process. The board urges candidates to remain patient and focused as they await their results and prepare for the main exam.
With dedication, hard work, and the right resources, aspiring undergraduates can achieve their goals and secure a spot in their preferred institution. The journey to university admission continues, and candidates are reminded that the mock exam is just a stepping stone to success.
