Former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Tambuwal, has condemned the recent wave of violent attacks in Plateau State, describing the killings as cruel, unjustified, and intolerable.
In a statement posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday, Tambuwal expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and the displacement of entire communities in the region.
These senseless attacks must never be tolerated, he said. No society should accept such brutality.
He offered his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and communities affected by the violence, promising his continued support and solidarity in this painful period.
Tambuwal also called on the federal government to fulfil its constitutional duty of protecting lives and property.
He urged the federal government to rise to the occasion, security agencies to act fast, and those behind these attacks to face justice.
He warned that Nigeria must not continue on a dangerous path of violence and impunity, adding that the time for decisive action is now.
His comments reflect growing public concern over the worsening insecurity in Plateau and other parts of the country. Citizens and leaders alike are calling for stronger government intervention and accountability.
