In a gripping personal testimony, Love Ogah, daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo—founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel)—has shared a chilling memory of a night assassins stormed their home but failed to see the very man they came to kill.

Speaking during a sermon titled “Building a Successful Marriage”, which she posted on her Instagram, Mrs. Ogah recalled the life-altering incident from her secondary school days when armed men invaded their home with a deadly mission.

“I remember vividly—it was at night. These were not random robbers. They came specifically for my father,” she said. “As they entered, they boldly announced, ‘We’re here to execute him,’ referring to my dad.”

What happened next, she said, was nothing short of supernatural.

According to Ogah, while the armed attackers turned their home upside down in search of Bishop Oyedepo, he was watching them the entire time—but mysteriously, they couldn’t see him.

“They searched every room for hours. The most unforgettable part was that he was literally staring at them, and yet they didn’t see him,” she said.

In the chaos, Ogah and other family members were hiding behind a door. When one of the attackers shut the door violently, it slammed into her face, severely injuring her upper gum. Despite the pain and terror, something remarkable happened when it was all over.

After the assailants left, her aunt came in crying, fearing the worst. But then Bishop Oyedepo calmly stepped out of his room—completely untouched.

“We were in shock. It was like a film,” Ogah said. “He said, ‘I was looking at them the whole time.’ They even searched his room, and yet, they didn’t see him.”

She used the powerful moment as a metaphor for divine protection and urged believers to strengthen their personal relationship with God.

“When you’re in the centre of God’s will for your life, challenges will come. But when you truly know God, you operate from a place of victory,” she said. “Plenty enemies may try, but they can’t touch you when you’re covered by Him.”
