Mbappe Eyes Big Comeback for El Clasico Final – Ancelotti Hints at Return

Real Madrid fans have reason to get excited — superstar striker Kylian Mbappe could be back in action just in time for the high-stakes Copa del Rey final clash against arch-rivals Barcelona this Saturday.

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Mbappe, along with teammate Ferland Mendy, is recovering well from injury and is expected to be fit for the showdown.

“For tomorrow’s game they will not be ready, but they’ll train over the next few days, and I think they’ll be available for Saturday,” Ancelotti said during a press conference on Tuesday.

Mbappe, who has netted 33 goals for the club this season, missed Madrid’s recent La Liga win over Athletic Bilbao and won’t feature against Getafe on Wednesday. He picked up an ankle injury during Real Madrid’s Champions League exit at the hands of Arsenal last week.

Some fans at the Santiago Bernabeu weren’t too pleased when Mbappe’s face appeared on the big screen during the Bilbao match — a few whistles could be heard — but Ancelotti insists the Frenchman is more focused on his fitness than the noise from the stands.

“Mbappe is hurting because he can’t help the team. But he’s doing everything possible to be ready for Saturday,” said the Italian tactician.

Without Mbappe on the pitch, Ancelotti opted for a more defensive setup against Bilbao, which paid off — but he admits that finding balance this season hasn’t been easy.

“We’ve had our issues, that’s clear. The way we play has changed because of the players’ characteristics. Finding that perfect balance has been tricky, and it’s crucial now, because these final games will decide everything,” he added.

With the Copa final and the La Liga title still on the line, all eyes will be on whether Mbappe can return and deliver in one of the season’s biggest games.
