Nigeria’s outstanding goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, made history once again by winning the 2025 CAF Goalkeeper of the Year award for her third consecutive victory.
The 24-year-old Super Falcons star received the prestigious accolade on Wednesday at the CAF Awards ceremony in Rabat, Morocco, beating Khadija Er-Rmichi of Morocco and Andile Dlamini of South Africa to the top prize.
Nnadozie’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Her 2025 season was filled with outstanding performances that cemented her reputation as Africa’s undisputed number one. With Paris FC, she won the Women’s Cup, making stunning saves in key moments.
On the international stage, she dominated even more. Nnadozie played a decisive role in the Super Falcons’ record-breaking tenth WAFCON title, keeping four clean sheets and winning the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper award.
Following WAFCON, her transfer to Brighton & Hove Albion, playing in the Women’s Super League, immediately made an impression. She was named Player of the Match on her debut and received numerous nominations, including WSL Defender of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.
With her third CAF title, Nnadozie continues to build an incredible legacy, one that places her among an elite group of female names and is a source of pride for Nigerian and African fans worldwide.
