The Leader of the Ado Local Government Legislative House, Hon. Agbo Adadu, has expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Area, Engr. Sunny Oche, and the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for the generous Christmas gesture of cows and bags of rice distributed across the ten wards of Ado Local Government Area.
The Legislative Leader noted that the items, which were duly received on behalf of party faithful by the Councillors representing the respective wards, significantly eased the burden of the festive season and reaffirmed the people-centered philosophy of the present administration. He described the gesture as timely, thoughtful, and reflective of leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the grassroots.
According to the Legislative House, the distribution of Christmas cows has now become a commendable annual tradition under the administration of Engr. Sunny Oche. The House recalled that in 2024, barely three months into office, the Chairman personally supervised the equitable distribution of cows to all ten wards, a move that reinforced the core values of fairness, unity, and inclusiveness in governance.
The Legislative House further commended the distribution of rice across the wards, noting that the intervention brought relief to many families and ensured that beneficiaries could celebrate the season with dignity, requiring only minimal additions to make the festivities worthwhile.
As the people of Ado step into the New Year, the Ado Local Government Legislative House reaffirmed its commitment to a stronger, smoother, and more productive working relationship between the legislative and executive arms of government. The Councillors, having returned from recess revitalized, pledged to remain proactive and responsive in their constitutional responsibilities to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
