The two new universities are:

Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, located in Iragbiji, Osun State

Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, situated in Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State

These specialized institutions will serve as training grounds for developing agriculture, science, and technology professionals, ultimately enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global economy. With this development, Nigeria’s federal university count now rises to 65, complementing the existing 63 state universities and 149 private universities ¹.
