“I Slept in Dangote Cement Factory on Natasha’s Wedding Day” – Akpabio Opens Up Amid Harassment Allegation

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has revealed that he spent the night at the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, on the day Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan got married.

Speaking during a Senate session, Akpabio emphasized his close relationship with Senator Natasha and her husband, stating that the groom is a “good friend” of his. The revelation comes amid a sexual harassment allegation leveled against him by the Kogi lawmaker.

According to Akpabio, he had to stay at the factory because of poor lighting at the Kogi airport, which made it unsafe for him to travel. His comments were made while responding to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, which has recommended Natasha’s suspension over allegations of disrespecting the Senate.

As part of the committee’s recommendations, Natasha is expected to apologize to the Senate. During her suspension period, her salary and security details will be withdrawn, and she will be barred from entering the National Assembly premises.
