The Senate Committee on Ethics has called for the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months following her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
According to the committee’s recommendations, Senator Natasha, who represents Kogi Central, must also issue an apology to the Senate for what they describe as “disrespecting the Senate.”
The suspension, if enforced, would result in the withdrawal of her salary and security details throughout the period.
The development has sparked mixed reactions, with many awaiting further details and possible responses from both the Senate and Senator Natasha.
