Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to Ghana as the West African nation marks its 68th Independence Anniversary, reaffirming a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

In an official statement released on Thursday, the Acting Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, conveyed the goodwill message from Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.

Tuggar praised Ghana’s democratic achievements, economic progress, and contributions to regional stability. He also highlighted the deep historical and cultural ties between both nations, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration in trade, education, security, and regional development.

“Nigeria remains committed to deepening cooperation with Ghana in trade, education, security, and regional integration,” the statement read.
