Toronto was rocked by a terrifying mass shooting on Friday night as masked gunmen stormed a local pub, leaving at least 12 people injured. Authorities are now on a manhunt for three armed suspects who unleashed a barrage of bullets inside the venue.
Gunmen Open Fire Without Warning
The shocking attack unfolded in the city’s east end, where police say the suspects, armed with an assault rifle and handguns, entered the pub and began shooting indiscriminately at patrons.
“They walked into the bar, produced their guns, and opened fire without any warning,” Toronto Police Superintendent Paul MacIntyre told local media.
While the motive remains unknown, police are treating the incident as a top priority. “We’re chasing down all leads,” MacIntyre added. “Our investigation will determine if this pub was specifically targeted.”
Victims in Hospital, But No Fatalities
Despite the chaos, authorities confirmed that none of the injuries are life-threatening.
“Twelve injured, including six with gunshot wounds… Injuries non-life-threatening,” Toronto police said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
A City in Shock
The shooting took place on what was reportedly the pub’s opening night, turning what should have been a celebration into a nightmare.
Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow expressed deep concern over the violence, stating, “I am deeply troubled by reports of the shooting.” She reassured residents that the police chief has deployed all necessary resources to track down the suspects.
