Nigerian singer Korede Bello has finally addressed fans’ long-standing curiosity about his absence from the spotlight, sharing a heartfelt message on self-discovery and inner peace.

In an Instagram post over the weekend, accompanied by Carlos Cipa’s instrumental piece The Place Where They Go, Korede reflected on his personal journey, emphasizing the importance of self-awareness over public presence.

“Whenever I hear or see comments like ‘Where have you been?’ I’m always surprised because I’ve been here all along—with me, myself, and I,” he wrote.

The Godwin hitmaker explained that while many seek external validation, he has chosen to focus on self-connection, even if that means being less visible to the world.

“Don’t you know you can be extremely rich and famous but still feel lost inside your mind? The more you connect with yourself, the less the world connects with you,” he shared.

Korede also acknowledged how personal growth often makes people seem distant or different to others.

“You think different, you act different—because you are different. Some might even ask, ‘Who do you think you are?’ But this hero’s journey is necessary because you cannot truly stand out until you step away and become outstanding,” he added.

While Korede hasn’t revealed specific plans for new music, his message reassures fans that he’s been on a meaningful path of self-growth—and he’s exactly where he needs to be.
