Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen delivered a match-winning performance as Galatasaray edged past Alanyaspor with a 2-1 victory at GAIN Park.
The hosts found themselves trailing early after Tonny Vilhena put Alanyaspor ahead in the 23rd minute. However, Galatasaray clawed their way back into the game after halftime when Fidan Aliti’s own goal leveled the score in the 51st minute.
Osimhen then rose to the occasion, sealing the win in the 62nd minute with a powerful header, sending Galatasaray fans into celebration. The Nigerian forward had two more chances to extend his tally but was unable to find the net again before being substituted in the 90th minute.
With this victory, Galatasaray extended their lead over title rivals Fenerbahce to seven points, with just ten games remaining in the season. Now out of the Europa League, the Turkish giants are fully focused on clinching their third consecutive Super Lig title.
