Hong Kong has launched an ambitious visa initiative to attract top-tier tech professionals from Nigeria and other countries, reinforcing its position as Asia’s Silicon Valley.

The 2025 Technology Talent Admission Scheme (TechTAS) is designed to streamline the recruitment process for global experts in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, robotics, biotechnology, and more. The program offers a fast-tracked visa approval process, cutting bureaucratic delays and allowing skilled professionals to secure roles in Hong Kong’s booming tech industry within just two weeks.

With a tech ecosystem valued at over $100 billion and close ties to Chinese giants like Tencent, Alibaba, and Huawei, Hong Kong is positioning itself as a premier destination for innovation and investment.

The program prioritizes candidates from top-ranked STEM universities but also considers industry leaders with significant achievements. Successful applicants and their families will be granted residency, further strengthening Hong Kong’s appeal as a global tech hub.

By opening its doors to international talent, Hong Kong aims to drive technological advancements and cement its status as a leading force in the global innovation landscape.
