Nigeria’s music industry is thriving like never before, with artists raking in over ₦58 billion from Spotify streaming alone in 2024.

According to Spotify’s latest Loud & Clear Report, this is double the revenue from 2023 and five times higher than in 2022—proof of Nigeria’s growing dominance in global music.

The report also reveals that the number of Nigerian artists earning more than ₦10 million in royalties has tripled since 2022, signaling unprecedented success.

  • Over 1 billion first-time discoveries of Nigerian artists by global listeners.
  • More than 1,900 Nigerian artists featured on Spotify editorial playlists—a 33% rise from last year.
  • 49% growth in global streaming exports of Nigerian music over three years.
  • Domestic streaming has skyrocketed 206% year-over-year, with a jaw-dropping 782% growth in three years.
