In a firm declaration of commitment, the Federal Government has assured Nigerians that the reforms led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are irreversible and already showing positive results. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, stated that while the journey has been tough, the country is beginning to see the benefits.

“We have crossed the Rubicon, and the pains are gradually easing as the positive impact of these reforms begins to manifest,” Idris said during the ongoing Ministerial Press Briefing Session in Abuja on Thursday.

According to him, economic indicators such as food prices, exchange rate stability, and fuel costs are showing signs of improvement, proving that the government’s economic strategies are working.

Reforms Come With Sacrifices

Idris emphasized that transformative policies require patience and resilience. He acknowledged the challenges but insisted that difficult decisions today will pave the way for a more stable and prosperous Nigeria.

“Throughout history, meaningful reforms have never come easy. They demand sacrifice, resilience, and a commitment to long-term progress. Nigerians are already witnessing early signs of economic recovery,” he assured.

He also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their endurance, stating that the administration remains dedicated to fulfilling its promises.

A Call for Unity and Prayers

With Ramadan and Lent underway, Idris urged religious leaders and citizens to continue praying for Nigeria’s peace, security, and economic stability.

“As people of faith, we must unite in prayer and collective effort to strengthen our country. With perseverance and belief, we will emerge stronger,” he said.

The session also featured presentations from the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, highlighting their ministries’ achievements under the current administration.

With the government doubling down on its commitment to reform, the message is clear—Nigeria is on a path of change, and there’s no turning back.
