Christian Eriksen has revealed that he is likely to leave Manchester United when his contract expires in June, signaling the end of his Old Trafford journey.

The 33-year-old Danish midfielder, who has struggled for consistent game time since Ruben Amorim took charge, admitted he hasn’t received any indication from the club about a potential contract renewal.

“I’m ready to look for something new. That suits me very well,” Eriksen told reporters ahead of Denmark’s Nations League quarter-final against Portugal. “That’s why I assume the collaboration is over. That’s how I interpret it.”

Despite a recent return to United’s starting lineup, Eriksen has spent much of the season on the fringes, having not started a Premier League game between December and late March.

“My intention is not to stay in England,” he added, hinting at a possible move abroad for the next chapter of his career.

Eriksen joined United in 2022 following a brief stint at Brentford. Prior to that, he was forced to leave Inter Milan due to Serie A’s health regulations after being fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator following his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.

In his time at United, Eriksen has made 99 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals. Now, as he prepares to move on, football fans eagerly await his next destination.
