In a bid to create safer digital spaces for students, CyberWise, a leading digital literacy advocate, has announced an upcoming workshop focused on cybersecurity awareness and cyberbullying prevention in secondary schools.

Set to take place across selected schools, the workshop aims to empower students, teachers, and administrators with the knowledge and tools needed to stay safe online. With cyber threats and online harassment becoming increasingly prevalent, CyberWise is stepping up to equip the next generation with the skills to navigate the digital world responsibly.

The interactive sessions will cover real-life case studies and expert-led discussions on social engineering, phishing, hacking, identity theft, and online safety best practices. Participants will also gain insights into recognizing and preventing cyberbullying, fostering empathy, and understanding the legal and ethical implications of online behavior.

By the end of the workshop, students will not only have a stronger grasp of cybersecurity but also the confidence to recognize and counter cyber threats while advocating for a positive online environment.

The sessions are scheduled for:
Command Day Secondary, Ikeja, Lagos – Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10 AM
Command Day Secondary, Oshodi, Lagos – Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 11 AM

Earlier this year, CyberWise successfully hosted a similar event at Yeshua High School, Ojodu, Lagos, on February 26, 2025.

With this initiative, CyberWise hopes to inspire a culture of digital responsibility among students while ensuring they remain protected in an increasingly connected world.
