A night of horror unfolded in Anambra State as gunmen abducted four people near the border of Nsugbe and Nkwele in Oyi Local Government Area on Friday night.
A disturbing video circulating online shows the victims writhing in pain, their legs bloodied from gunshot wounds inflicted by their captors. One of them, identified as Mr. Dona Ayakalor, was seen pleading over the phone, desperately urging a relative to arrange a ransom for their release.
Sources confirmed that Ayakalor and three of his friends were taken by the assailants around 9 p.m. The video, believed to have been recorded at the kidnappers’ hideout, reveals a chilling scene—victims crying out in agony as blood pools on the ground.
The Anambra State Police Command has yet to respond to inquiries about the attack. Attempts to reach the police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, were unsuccessful as his phone remained switched off.
This incident adds to the growing insecurity concerns in Anambra, leaving residents in fear and demanding urgent action from security agencies.
