A 37-year-old woman, Linda Stephen, has asked a Kaduna Customary Court to dissolve her six-year marriage, citing her husband’s excessive and exhausting sexual demands.
Linda, who resides in Ungwan Sunday, told the court on Tuesday that her husband, Felix Stephen, regularly forces her into marathon love-making sessions from midnight until dawn. She claims that even when she cries and begs him to stop, he refuses.
‘He Won’t Stop, Even When I’m Crying’
“I can’t take it anymore,” Linda told the court. “My husband likes sex too much. He demands it every night, and when I refuse, he beats me—even in front of our children.”
She revealed that she left their home three months ago and has since been pressured by his relatives to return, but they have no idea what she has endured.
Husband Begs for Another Chance
In response, Felix admitted to his high sex drive but insisted he still loves his wife. He pleaded with the court not to grant her divorce request, promising to control his urges and change his ways.
“I have taken my uncles and friends to her parents’ house to beg her, but she refuses to listen,” he said, asking for more time to reconcile with her.
The judge, John Dauda, adjourned the case until May 6, urging the couple to work on their differences while maintaining peace.
