Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has officially inaugurated 1,150 newly trained Amotekun cadets, charging them to uphold discipline, resist corruption, and stay committed to securing lives and property across the state.

Speaking at the Passing-Out Parade held at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede, Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing Osun’s security architecture. He highlighted ongoing reforms within the corps, including leadership restructuring, personnel expansion, and improved operational equipment.

“We have appointed experienced security professionals to lead the corps and provided a befitting operational headquarters. Our reform plan focuses on increasing manpower, upgrading training in law enforcement, and improving logistics and operational tools,” he said.

The governor also announced that Amotekun would benefit from the state’s upcoming security trust fund, ensuring sustained access to resources such as vehicles and surveillance equipment.

“As a security expert, I understand your operational needs, and I assure you that support in terms of vehicles, bikes, and other logistics will be prioritized. However, I urge you all to stay committed to the mission, fight crime with integrity, and uphold the values of this service,” Adeleke added.

In his remarks, Amotekun Board Chairman, retired AIG Wale Abass, assured the governor that the newly trained cadets, having undergone three weeks of intensive training, were fully prepared to carry out their duties professionally.
