In a revealing interview with DW on Saturday, former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi dropped a bombshell, claiming that the ongoing feud between suspended Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike is driven by one thing – money sharing.
Amaechi wasted no time in addressing the tensions between the two political figures, insisting that their dispute was centered around financial matters, and questioned why Nigerians are not more concerned about corruption within the conflict. “If not, what is the quarrel? Nigerians don’t dislike corruption anymore,” Amaechi stated.
He further challenged both Fubara and Wike to come forward and clarify the real reasons behind their public disagreement, asking, “Can both of them speak to the public and tell us what the problem is about?”
In addition to discussing the political drama between Fubara and Wike, Amaechi also criticized the emergency rule imposed on Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu, calling it unconstitutional. With the political tensions escalating, Amaechi’s bold statements have added fuel to an already heated political landscape in Rivers State.
