Fast-rising Nigerian-American artist, Timilehin Akinsola, popularly known as Miss Timilehin, is making bold moves in the Afrobeats scene. With the release of her latest single, Confidence, she’s not just dropping music—she’s staking her claim as the next big thing.
Despite being relatively new to the industry, Miss Timilehin is brimming with confidence and determination. Speaking about her passion for Afrobeats, she said, “I’m here to make my mark and take over—why not? I’ve been singing all my life, but when I decided to go professional, Afrobeats was my first choice. The beats, the heavy drums—it’s impossible not to dance!”
Confidence is her third single, following All My Love and Running, both released in 2024. The track, now available on all streaming platforms, embodies her signature blend of soulful melodies and high-energy Afrobeat rhythms.
Drawing inspiration from legends like Michael Jackson, Fela Kuti, and Bob Marley, Miss Timilehin aspires to build a legacy of creativity and impact. “These icons shaped the sound of their eras, and I want to do the same in mine,” she shared.
While she hasn’t collaborated with any major artist yet, she has her sights set on working with Rema and other Nigerian stars. “I’d love to make a song with Rema. Hopefully, the right situation will make that happen soon,” she hinted.
