Popular preacher and co-founder of Agape Christian Ministries, Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, has sparked conversations with her bold take on marital intimacy, urging African women to break free from outdated beliefs and openly enjoy intimacy with their husbands.

In a viral Instagram video on Tuesday, the bishop challenged cultural taboos that often discourage women from expressing their desires, emphasizing that a thriving marriage requires mutual enjoyment and open communication.

“I like sex. If I don’t, how will I have children? And you are just pretending, you like sex. African culture has told you that a woman should not show that she enjoys sex, otherwise they will call her a prostitute,” she declared.

Felix-Adejumo stressed the importance of shifting mindsets, urging women to embrace intimacy without guilt or shame.

“When the man is touching you, you’re happy. So, the first thing is to disbelieve that in your mind, otherwise, you’ll be causing problems in your marriage,” she advised.

She encouraged wives to be expressive and confident in the bedroom, emphasizing that suppressing one’s desires could weaken a marriage.

“Tell yourself, sex is good. I want my husband. And when you’re having sex with your husband, don’t pretend and just be like a statue. Talk, moan—sex is good,” she encouraged.

According to the bishop, intimacy is not just a physical act but the highest form of connection in marriage, and women should actively participate in it.

“You cannot believe that African mentality. Let’s change it. The devil is using it to destroy marriages because that’s the highest level of intimacy,” she warned.

She concluded with a piece of playful advice for women to appreciate and affirm their husbands.

“Tickle your husband, touch him when he’s making love to you. When he finishes, tell him he did a good job,” she said.
