Afrobeats icon Davido has made a heartfelt declaration of unwavering support for Tiwa Savage, vowing to protect her no matter what, even after their past disagreements.
This declaration comes a year after a reported fallout between the two superstars, when Tiwa allegedly filed a petition against Davido, accusing him of threatening her life. Their tension began in early 2024 when Tiwa posted a picture online with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama—a move that stirred up controversy.
However, during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Davido spoke candidly about the situation, clarifying that the rift was born from personal connections and not animosity.
“We used to stay in the same house,” Davido shared. “The issue with Tiwa was personal because she was very close to Sophia.”
He went on to express his deep respect and affection for Tiwa, referring to her as family. “Tiwa Savage is my sister for life. She changed the game for women in music. We are family, and I love her and her child. It’s just like a brother-sister argument. She did reach out, and I will never let anything happen to her.”
