Governor Mutfwang Convenes Emergency Security Meeting

In response to the recent wave of deadly attacks in some parts of the state, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has convened an emergency expanded security meeting with various security heads and chairmen of all 17 local government areas. The meeting aimed to discuss strategies for curbing insecurity and restoring peace across the state.

The recent attack on Zike and Kimakpa communities in Bassa Local Government Area has left a trail of death and destruction, with reports indicating that over 100 armed militia were involved, and 51 people lost their lives. The governor strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as “heinous, unacceptable, and a threat to peace and unity”.
