Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to represent Abuja at the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum (2025APCS). The global event gathers mayors, urban planners, and policymakers from across the world to share ideas on building sustainable and resilient cities.

Wike departed Abuja on October 26, 2025, and arrived in Dubai early Monday morning, where he was received by Nigeria’s Consul General. His attendance at the summit underscores Nigeria’s commitment to global dialogue on urban development and reflects Abuja’s growing influence as a modern African capital.
