Shettima gave the assurance on Saturday when he led a Federal Government delegation to the state to commiserate with the affected communities and the Kwara State Government over the tragic incident that claimed dozens of lives.

According to a statement by his media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, the Vice President disclosed that President Tinubu had approved the immediate deployment of a full battalion of the Nigerian Army to Kaiama to secure the area and prevent further violence.

He added that all relevant security agencies have been placed on high alert, stressing that every necessary step is being taken to ensure that peace is fully restored across the affected communities and the entire state.
