Cole Palmer to Liverpool? Ex-Man United Star Hints at Shock Transfer If Salah Leaves

Chelsea star Cole Palmer has been making waves since his move from Manchester City, but could he soon be on the move again? Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has suggested that Liverpool could be a potential destination for the 22-year-old if Mohamed Salah departs Anfield.

Palmer has been a standout performer for Chelsea this season, racking up an impressive 33 goal contributions—more than any other Premier League player in the 2023-24 campaign. However, with Chelsea struggling to secure a top-four finish and Palmer enduring a seven-game goal drought, speculation has begun about his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

Despite rumors that Palmer might seek an exit if Chelsea fail to qualify for the Champions League, Yorke doesn’t see him forcing a move. However, he believes Liverpool could be a realistic option if Salah leaves.

“He doesn’t seem like the kind of player who would demand to leave just because Chelsea miss out on the Champions League,” Yorke told CasinoBeats. “He’s young, he’s the main man at Chelsea—why walk away from that?”

While Yorke dismissed potential moves to Manchester United or Arsenal, he hinted that Liverpool could be a tempting prospect. “Liverpool might be an option if Mo Salah were to leave. So, watch this space if that happens,” he added.

Salah, despite ongoing transfer speculation, remains Liverpool’s key player, with over 50 goal contributions across all competitions this season. If he were to depart, Palmer could emerge as a prime candidate to fill his role at Anfield.

For now, Palmer remains focused on Chelsea’s fight for Champions League qualification, but Yorke believes that if Liverpool come knocking, it might be an opportunity too big to ignore.
