The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado, has reassured Nigerians that the proposed tax reform bills currently under review at the National Assembly will boost economic growth and enhance living standards across the country.
During a visit by a delegation of professors, scholars, and commissioners from Kano State, Lado emphasized President Tinubu’s dedication to creating a fair and transparent tax system that supports economic expansion and attracts investment.
“This visit underscores your commitment to Nigeria’s economic progress. I want to assure all Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the best interests of the nation at heart,” Lado stated. “These reforms are designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and a stronger economy, which will ultimately improve living standards for all.”
The delegation, led by renowned economist Dr. Muhammed Sagagi and joined by Prof. Auwal Yadudu, highlighted the importance of inclusive policies to drive sustainable development.
Lado further assured them that the National Assembly, under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, is fully committed to giving the proposed tax reforms the thorough consideration they deserve.
