The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a stern warning to students about the growing number of fake websites offering student loans. In a statement released on Saturday, NELFUND cautioned students to be vigilant and avoid submitting applications through fraudulent portals pretending to be the official loan website.

Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Corporate Communications at NELFUND, emphasized that the only legitimate platform for student loan applications is www.nelf.gov.ng. The Fund clarified that any other websites, links, or messages claiming to offer access to the NELFUND Student Loan Scheme are unauthorized and should be ignored.

Students and the general public are urged to remain cautious and trust only the verified channels to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
