Roma legend Roberto Pruzzo has made a bold prediction about Victor Osimhen’s future, stating that the Nigerian striker is set to join Juventus in the upcoming summer transfer window. Pruzzo, a former star for Roma, revealed that reliable sources close to Osimhen’s entourage confirmed the move.
Currently contracted with Napoli, Osimhen has been on loan at Galatasaray this season after unsuccessful attempts to secure permanent transfers to PSG, Chelsea, and Al-Ahli last summer. In 2023, Osimhen extended his contract with Napoli, which included a €130m release clause. However, that clause will drop to €75m at the end of this season, making him a more affordable target for clubs in the summer.
According to Pruzzo, the 26-year-old striker is destined for Turin, as Juventus is reportedly among the clubs targeting him for the next transfer window. “I know that Juventus’ next striker will be Osimhen,” Pruzzo told Radio Radio, as reported by Sport Mediaset. “A reliable source close to the Nigerian’s entourage revealed it to me in Florence. They are certain he will be going to Turin next year.”
Pruzzo, who spent a majority of his career at Roma and won the Scudetto in 1982-83, has made waves with his claim. His bold statement comes amid ongoing rumors linking Osimhen to top Premier League clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal.
Osimhen’s next destination remains uncertain, with many speculating that he could depart Napoli after the 2024/25 season. While Manchester United has been strongly linked with the striker, financial concerns could complicate a move. Former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson recently suggested that United may struggle to meet Osimhen’s high wage demands.
Meanwhile, Osimhen has enjoyed a prolific season with Galatasaray, registering 22 goals and five assists in 28 appearances, further boosting his value in the transfer market.
