A women’s advocacy group, the Women for Change Vanguard, has announced a peaceful protest at the UN House in Abuja tomorrow at 11 a.m., demanding that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan present concrete evidence to support her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In a statement issued by the group’s spokesperson, Arc (Mrs.) Margaret Adesuwa Ehilebo, the organization emphasized the need for accountability and due process in cases of sexual misconduct allegations.

  • “Sexual harassment is a serious issue that must be addressed with responsibility. If Senator Natasha has proof of her claims against Senator Akpabio, she should present it. Justice must be based on facts, not just accusations,” Ehilebo stated.

The group expressed concern over what they described as the misuse of the #BelieveAllWomen movement, warning that baseless allegations could harm both the accused and genuine survivors of sexual violence.

  • “False accusations not only ruin reputations but also weaken the fight against real cases of sexual harassment. If evidence exists, we will stand for justice. If not, we must stop turning accusations into political tools,” the statement added.

According to the group, the protest aims to demand transparency from both parties and ensure that truth prevails in the matter.

  • “Senator Akpabio must clear his name, and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan must back her claims with proof. Women must be seen as strong and credible in every space—including politics,” Ehilebo concluded.

The Women for Change Vanguard is urging women and supporters to join the protest, calling for fairness, accountability, and a serious commitment to addressing real cases of sexual misconduct.
