A northern advocacy group, Gamji Heritage, has praised President Bola Tinubu for taking on Nigeria’s most pressing challenges head-on since assuming office nearly two years ago.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the group’s President-General, Malam Ahmed Abdullahi, acknowledged that while expectations for Tinubu’s leadership are high, his administration has made notable strides in tackling corruption, insecurity, terrorism, and banditry.

“The reality is that Nigerians expect all problems to be solved overnight, but governance is a process,” Abdullahi said.

Gamji Heritage, a political and cultural group dedicated to preserving the legacy of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, called on government agencies to step up their efforts in implementing Tinubu’s policies.

“There are funding challenges and bureaucratic bottlenecks slowing down projects. These need to be addressed for better execution,” Abdullahi emphasized.

He also highlighted internal rifts within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), urging Tinubu and party leaders to unify aggrieved members ahead of future elections.

While some factions in the north are reportedly opposing Tinubu’s potential second-term bid, Abdullahi dismissed the debate as premature.

“The president is not even two years into his first term. The focus should be on delivering results, and I believe he is doing his best,” he concluded.
