President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to mark his 73rd birthday on Friday with a special prayer session at the Abuja National Mosque, the Presidency has announced.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu expressed gratitude for life and leadership while urging Nigerians to join him in prayers for the nation’s peace, unity, and prosperity.
The President’s birthday, which falls during the holy month of Ramadan, will be dedicated to spiritual reflection rather than elaborate celebrations. He emphasized the power of collective prayer in guiding Nigeria toward progress and stability.
“As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with Renewed Hope for Nigeria,” Tinubu stated. “I urge all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing for our land. Together, we shall overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives.”
The special prayer session will also serve as an opportunity for Tinubu to thank God for the strength to lead and to seek divine wisdom in tackling the country’s economic and security challenges.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to deepening democratic gains, fostering economic recovery, and strengthening national security. He encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their belief in the country’s future, pledging continued efforts to advance reforms and expand opportunities for all.
