What You Need to Know:

The nationwide hardware chain’s decision is aimed at showing appreciation for its 300,000 associates who continue to serve customers with dedication throughout the year. Lowe’s has closed on Easter for the past four years, aligning with a growing trend of major retailers closing on holidays.

Lowe’s Chairman and CEO, Marvin Ellison, shared his pride in the company’s employees: “I’m extremely proud of the commitment of our 300,000 associates who support our communities while providing excellent customer service not only in spring—but all year-round.” He added, “In recognition of their hard work, we’re pleased to give them a well-deserved day off to spend Easter with their loved ones.”

Why is Lowe’s Closing?

Lowe’s continues its tradition of closing for Easter, joining other major retailers like Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, Best Buy, and Aldi, who are also closing on this day. The closure is a gesture to acknowledge the effort of Lowe’s employees who work tirelessly to keep customers satisfied.
