Tinubu Applauds Rescue of 100 Niger Students, Orders Tougher Security

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu celebrated the safe return of 100 students kidnapped from a Catholic school in Niger State on November 21. The President expressed his satisfaction with the confirmation of their release and commended Governor Umar Bago and the country’s security agencies for their steadfast work.

Tinubu reminded the security forces that his directive remains unchanged: all Nigerians kidnapped across the country must be rescued and reunited with their families. He emphasized that all victims must be accounted for and added that the Federal Government will continue working with Niger State and other states to improve school safety and create a safe learning environment.

The President stated that future kidnappings must be prevented through closer collaboration between security agencies and state governors. He insisted that Nigerian children must never again be vulnerable to terrorists who inflict trauma on students and their families.

“May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he declared.
