MTN Nigeria has confirmed a network outage affecting customers in parts of Abia, Enugu, and Ebonyi states, causing disruptions to voice calls, data services, and text messaging.
In a statement released Wednesday, the telecom provider acknowledged that some subscribers were experiencing intermittent network performance and service interruptions in the affected areas. Engineers have been deployed to investigate the cause and restore full connectivity.
The company stated that it is working urgently to resolve the issue and minimize disruption to customers. Technical teams are conducting diagnostics and repairs on the affected infrastructure to ensure the full restoration of services.
While MTN did not specify a timeframe for full restoration, it assured subscribers that efforts are underway to stabilize the network.
Customers in the affected states reported difficulties making calls and accessing the internet, with some stating that the outage impacted both personal and business communications.
MTN reiterated its commitment to improving network reliability and customer experience, and urged subscribers to remain patient.
