Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly left Saudi Arabia for Madrid as regional instability intensifies following recent military confrontations in the Middle East.
The veteran forward, who captains Al Nassr FC, is said to have travelled from Riyadh aboard his private aircraft late at night. Flight monitoring sources indicated that the jet departed in the evening and touched down in the Spanish capital shortly after midnight local time.
His movement comes days after coordinated strikes were carried out by the United States and Israel against targets in Iran, triggering a wave of retaliatory actions across parts of the Gulf.
Security concerns deepened after drone attacks were reported near diplomatic facilities in Riyadh. Authorities confirmed that a fire incident occurred within the United States Embassy premises, although officials described the damage as limited.
Iranian state outlets also reported strikes on strategic sites in Bahrain as tensions spread beyond Iran’s borders. The situation has prompted tighter security across several Gulf cities.
Ronaldo, who resides in Riyadh with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their children, has been based in Saudi Arabia since signing for Al Nassr. His departure is widely viewed as a precautionary move amid uncertainty in the region.
