The Regional Leader of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has expressed strong concerns over what he described as the political and security marginalisation of Christians in Nigeria.
Speaking on Channels Television’s *The Morning Brief* on Monday, Rev. Dachomo reacted to claims of widespread attacks on Christian communities across the country. He argued that the Muslim–Muslim ticket of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima contributes to what he termed the “political exclusion” of Christians.
According to him, “Shettima is a Muslim, the President is a Muslim. Is that not complete genocide to Christians in the political world? The way forward is to remove Shettima and I stand on it.”
He further accused the administration of pursuing what he referred to as an “Islamic agenda,” urging Nigerian Christians to remain vigilant and firm in their faith.
Rev. Dachomo alleged that ongoing insecurity targeted at Christian communities is part of a broader plan to dominate the country. “They want to control the whole country. All Christians should wake up… These people want to make every Christian become Muslim by force,” he claimed.
He also criticised what he described as the misrepresentation of attacks in some states, insisting that the public must not remain silent about the situation.
“We cannot continue to stay quiet because I can’t hand over my grandchildren to Islam. There’s an agenda of these Islamic terrorists to take over the country and the nation is sleeping,” he said.
The federal government has not yet responded to the claims.
