Abia Governor Otti Visits Nnamdi Kanu in Sokoto Correctional Centre, Commends State’s Hospitality

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has visited the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, at the Sokoto Correctional Centre, expressing appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.

Speaking after the visit over the weekend, Governor Otti said the delegation was leaving Sokoto with positive impressions of the state and its people.

“We are returning home with fond memories. Sokoto is truly a land of hospitality,” Otti said. “We are also glad to see our brother and son, Nnamdi Kanu, who has, by circumstance, become like a son to me.”

The governor also thanked the Sokoto authorities for the treatment Kanu has received while in custody.

“We are pleased with the care being given to him, and we pray that God continues to bless Sokoto State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the sense of brotherhood and unity we share,” he added.

Governor Otti concluded his remarks by expressing gratitude to the state officials and residents for their support.
